#TBT BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE A BEFORE & AFTER - LITTLE VENICE TV ROOM
This family room in London needed some practical love. There is some serious Lego talent in this house! True works of art that need space to curate and showcase once finished. Oh my ... super cute and really made me think I can't wait until my babe is ready for some Lego fun. (No doubt I will regret the last sentence when I'm tripping over it). Aside from a room for a little lego artist, its a family room in the basement of a victorian town house next to a open plan kitchen. So a perfect spot to kick back play games, watch TV, play Lego or slime...and of course catch up after a long day. This job was predominately a sourcing project with a specific shopping list of items which will marry the homeowners taste for pattern and colour with their practical needs.
We commissioned a side board from the fabulous Muck & Brass. Decorative skulls with highlights of floral & bright pink. Zoe from Muck N Brass is now on the TV...check her out she's fab! And has a range of goods which have been soured and upcycled with love and skill.
We also commissioned a low pile bespoke rug from Stark perfect for playing, easy clean and a good pattern colour for hiding the odd accident. The plush pomegranate velvet chaise is from Heals. The practical design classic shelving from Vistoe is so versatile and has so many qualities that include longivity, practicality, and resourcefulness. The modular system can be customised at a later date for changing family needs. And aside from looking chic it hides multiple consoles, sound bars, remotes, leads, leads and more leads.
This is a good example of small changes and the introduction of a few key finds really will change your space and enhancing you home. A good studio can embrace your look and run with a clients aesthetic whilst making sure it works both practically and in budget.
Now I'm actually off to look at Lego storage solutions for another client! Have a good day.
