November 2-hour Design Consultation Sessions - Book Now!
One of our favourite parts of the job?
Every consultation is completely different, no two homes, families, or decision dilemmas are ever the same. October was full of variety: from first-time renovators to returning clients ready for round two!
Here’s a little peek behind the doors we opened this month:
Muswell Hill
A familiar face! We’re back with one of our past clients to design their primary bathroom and dressing room. There’s something so lovely about returning to a family home we already know, seeing how they’ve lived in the spaces, and being trusted again for the next chapter. Can’t wait to get started on this one.
Crouch End
A young family who’ve just bought a beautiful ground-floor flat, think The Modern House listing potential, but with a few practical kinks to iron out. We talked through everything from boiler relocations and courtyard garden plans to joinery concepts and the all-important dog bath (which they didn’t think was possible!). Balancing form and practicality, we walked through how to unlock the home’s full potential for their family.
Hornsey Rise
A solo household (yes, we do lots of solo households!). A fabulous client who’d just picked up the keys to her new flat, and wasted no time getting started. She had the place gutted within five minutes of moving in!
Our session was a true brain-dump and design-therapy moment: order of works, decision-making, and how to prioritise before the tender pack goes out. A total power hour (or two) of clarity and confidence.
Fortis Green
A couple navigating their first big project together, a probate purchase from earlier this year that’s now knee-deep in planning applications, architect revisions, tenders, and neighbour diplomacy. We worked through layouts, family flow, and how to make the house feel like home for a blended family (including when the kids come to stay).
The highlight? Catching a potential design hiccup before it happened: a stunning but totally impractical glazed apex loft window. Where would you put the curtains? Do you like sleep? Exactly. Protect your peace and your ZZZs, worth the consultation alone!
Highgate
A bustling family home mid-renovation and deep in decision fatigue. We spent two hours reviewing lighting plans, elevations, and the emotional toll of having too many choices. When you can have anything, suddenly nothing feels quite right. Together, we cut through the noise, clarified what mattered most, and found that sweet spot between stylish and soulful.
Sometimes, the biggest win of a consultation is walking away lighter, with the confidence to say “no” to the wrong things.
October was a busy one, a perfect mix of returning clients, new faces, and plenty of design therapy along the way (therapist is definitely on the Plan B list!).
We’re so excited to see these homes come to life, and even more thrilled that a few will grow into full-service projects for 2026.
Can you believe 2025 is nearly done? I know…
