#TBT BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE A BEFORE & AFTER - QUEENS PARK THROUGH LIVING ROOM, LONDON

This weeks #tbt is a large through living room in NW London. The space was in need of redecoration and a general update. Original divided into a more formal and relaxed area. the family simply didn't use the formal end of the room. It made complete sense to try and make this a more user friendly space as the house was soon to be home to four adults (not two children anymore).

What we did: Aside from general redecoration a darker shade in the TV Snug and lighter at the front of the house. We removed the woodburner surround which has made a considerable difference to the formal (or lack off) formal seating area. We added texture in the form of log display in the alcove which instantly adds a feeling of home and a chilled environment. Lots of tactile texture was added through textiles the silk two tones rug to the various qualities of fabric on the cushions. The TV end we added a darker cosier shade of paint and new corner sofa, some fun lighting and lots of vignettes of the families memories. The overall look is homely and we are thrilled the family use both ends of the room after the revamp.
