BRAND CRUSH: The Six Best Lights at Habitat

Tis the season to be jolly.....and when you will be hunkering down and making the most of your homes. Secondary or 'mood' lighting is the key to an ambient interior. Having only a central over head light is a big mistake. I really recommend at least three sources of light (minimum). Overhead, two table or floor and another light source from candles or garland lights. I spend a huge amount of time looking for the perfect lighting and whilst I do have some favourite brands no two projects are the same. Which means a new hunt every time a new project comes in. However after doing a recent rekkie of the high street I wanted to document my finds here...however one retailer really stood out from design, choice and price... Habitat. If you live in London, Habitats Flag Ship Store in Tottenham Court Road is a great space which showcases there ranges. The VM really helps you easily visualise where each light may go in your home. I instantly ear marked the Louie table light for a kids project (unveiling soon) and completely fell in love with Shelby floor (or table) light. The premium marble base is sturdy and is an absolute steal. I have a selected a few of my top picks all under £250. All of which are super stylish and with all Habitat pieces will stand the test of time and age gracefully. Happy nesting people!
