Nursery & Kids Trends - Clay & Ochre
I love this trend. One of the strong key trends at this years Maison Objet in Paris. I see this colour palette as a twist on a traditional classic nursery for either sex. There is such a romance to having a baby (until the reality hits...hee hee). And so many parents like to celebrate the feminine weather expressed through clothes, colours or the nursery without falling down the hole of baby pink or blue.
Clay & Ochre are soft tones which can be layered with a soft neutrals palette and pattern to create a modern calm vibe. The introduction of Liberty Tawna Lawn really adds a modern classics feel. Its feminine without a splash of pink or lilac. Its also perfect with a dark backdrop (as last weeks kids dark interiors post!)
I'm particularly fond of the bedding above by Nobodinoz. The added texture and layered colours really feels new and dynamic for the kids interior market. I find clay an incredibly soothing colour.
Ila y ela are also particularly good at showcasing this colour palette. They have a wonderful range of kids homewares for every nook and cranny of a nursery or little bedroom.
This is the perfect trend for longevity to grow with your children and really does transend the major milestones.
